A company owned a small retail center in Erie, Colorado, just off Highway 7. The retail center was partially occupied by small local businesses. However, it was not being actively managed by the owner. As part of the foreclosure process, the lender sought the appointment of Cordes & Company as the receiver for this property. We stabilized the property, worked with vendors to re-install services, dealt with minor maintenance and tenant issues, investigated property issues, and hired a leasing agent to fill up the vacant space. The lender and the owner worked out an agreement whereby the property was turned over to the secured lender for future disposition.
