When the owner of a free-standing 10,000-square-foot building in the Boca Park neighborhood of Las Vegas defaulted on the loan, the lender requested that the court appoint Cordes & Company as receiver during the foreclosure process. This receivership was particularly sensitive, because the owner was also the sole tenant, operating a salon and day spa in the facility. Our basic role in this engagement was to maintain the property, collect rents and protect the receivership estate.
