At Cordes & Company, our financial and management professionals provide prompt and expert support for businesses and real estate in distress, transition and litigation – as well as their local and national lenders. Steve Cerny serves as a senior accountant supporting all active cases of the firm.
Specifically, Steve performs accounting services, financial analysis and reporting, and IT
and project management support for entities under management or in receivership. He
works closely with the firm’s clients to obtain and interpret relevant information. He
supports the firm’s project managers in addressing financial questions and concerns of
clients and resolves reporting issues.
Experience
Steve brings to the firm a depth of experience gained in variety of operating businesses, including eleven years at a nationwide default Real Estate Asset Management outsourcing company where he held roles as a Regional REO Asset Manager, Manager of the REO Division and later promoted to the company’s Accounting Manager. He also served in a senior accounting role for a rapidly growing wireless retailer and a data analytics consulting firm.
Education
Steve holds an undergraduate degree in Business Administration with a concentration in
Finance from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
