A company engaged in the recovery of unclaimed financial property was sued by its investors. To execute the judgment of the Arapahoe County District Court, the investors retained Cordes & Company to gain control of the company’s most valuable asset – its database -- and recommend next steps for investors. After an unsuccessful attempt to sell the company, Cordes recommended that the investors obtain clear title to the database asset and deploy the business plan either under new management or in cooperation with another vendor in the unclaimed property business. The Court approved these recommendations, and the investors now have total control of the asset.
