A commercial building was jointly owned by two individuals who had been partners for decades. Unfortunately, their relationship had devolved to the point where they had stopped communicating – and the property was suffering as a result. The Boulder County District Court appointed Cordes & Company as receiver to help resolve this partnership dispute. Cordes leased space, split the revenues and devised a way to separate the two parties’ interests. When a two-person auction was held at counsel’s office, the commercial property was sold to one of the partners. Each partner was satisfied with the outcome and the matter was closed.
