A four-owner condominium association had reached the point where two of the owners were suing the other two – with no compromise in sight. The City and County of Denver District Court appointed Cordes & Company as receiver – to run the association and be the tie-breaker for business decisions. Cordes received bids from contractors for needed work; ran the monthly board meetings of all parties; established new articles, bylaws and rules and regulations; made capital calls; and worked toward a long-term solution. Eventually, the dispute ended when one of the owners purchased a second unit in the complex and gained control of the association.
