Two shareholders were involved in the development and construction of residential townhomes in Fort Collins. The active shareholder had control of the construction projects as well as related books and records. The second shareholder resided out-of-state. When the partners became mired in litigation, the Larimer County District Court appointed Cordes & Company receiver over the development and construction assets in order to monitor, control and manage the situation. Cordes gained control of the finances and performed preliminary evaluations of the situation and the allegations, reporting back to the Court and the parties as necessary. In addition, Cordes performed extensive work on various mechanics lien issues. The matter eventually settled out of court.
