Rob Neirynck is a senior director, financial and forensic accounting consultant and senior project manager with approximately 25 years of experience at the firm.
Rob is a financial and operational professional who works on and manages many of the firm’s engagements in the areas of receivership, loan default assessment, bankruptcy matters, economic damage reviews and general forensic accounting. Rob has managed and been involved with over 110 of the firm's receivership matters over the years including loan defaults, commercial foreclosures, liquidations, and partnership/owner disputes. He has also managed and/or played significant roles in many of the firm's bankruptcy related engagements, especially with respect to the financial and accounting aspects. Rob has managed and work on countless economic damage and forensic accounting cases at the firm, which have included in-depth analysis, financial modeling and schedule preparation and report generation. Rob has also provided court related testimony in fifteen of his projects.
Additionally, Rob provides financial, accounting, and operational services to several affiliated entities, which includes providing management, oversight and financial expertise to a small private equity fund specializing in loans to distressed entities and other small entities involved in real estate ventures.
Experience
Prior to joining the firm in 1995, Rob was an audit manager with seven years of experience in both the Boston and Denver offices of Ernst & Young. Rob worked on a wide variety of GAAP audits for a multitude of clients ranging from small privately-held entities to large multi-national public companies. These companies included entities in such industries as financial services, insurance, manufacturing, healthcare and others.
Education
He holds an undergraduate degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting from the University of Notre Dame.
Credentials
Rob is a Certified Public Accountant (since 1991) and a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Adviser (since 1998), and an active member of those associations.
